The Sample Foundation makes grants to tax-exempt organizations in the areas of health, social welfare, and services to the disadvantaged. The Foundation generally limits its grants to organizations located in the state of Montana and Collier County, Florida.
In most instances, grants are for capital outlays. The Foundation does not fund scholarships, operating budgets, duplication of services, organizations that attempt to influence legislation or intervene in any political campaign, or religious groups.
You may submit your application on this site; additional materials may be submitted in PDF format, using the link. An application form is required and should include the amount requested, how grant dollars will meet our criteria, a balance sheet, a list of board members, and evidence of tax-exempt status (federal regulations require that we give to organizations described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code). The letter must be signed by the chief executive officer and the president of the board.
Applications are reviewed once a year. The application deadline is August 1st. Grants will be issued in November.
A final grant report, including expenses, is due July 1st of the following year, submitted by email to applications@samplefoundation.org
